Job description
Lead key system architecture and technical decisions
- Model systems and design architecture for high-traffic, high-concurrency and complex business scenarios, weighing trade-offs among performance, stability, scalability and development cost to produce technical plans the team can execute.
Safeguard engineering quality in AI-assisted development
- Review the architecture, workflows, and key implementations proposed by AI agents or engineers, identifying race conditions, lock contention, data consistency issues, performance bottlenecks, and unreasonable system coupling, so that faster development doesn't come with accumulating systemic risk.
Lead 8–10 cross-platform engineers to ship products
- Manage Backend, Web, iOS, and Android engineers; set priorities based on product and technical goals, break down complex problems and drive execution, and ensure cross-platform development collaborates effectively and delivers.
Tackle highly complex system and performance issues
- Analyze performance, concurrency, data access and system stability issues that ordinary development processes struggle to solve, find root causes and lead the team through fixes—rather than just patching surface symptoms.
Establish and continuously improve engineering standards
- Establish engineering principles the team can follow — from code review, architecture design and technical debt management to AI-assisted development — to reduce system complexity and long-term maintenance costs.
Develop the engineering team's technical judgment
- Through technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day coaching, help engineers across different fields and experience levels sharpen their problem breakdown, architectural thinking, and technical decision-making.
Make technical trade-offs together with product and business teams
- Translate complex architectural constraints, technical risks, and costs into decision-ready information that non-technical roles can understand, helping the team make sound trade-offs between business speed and engineering quality.
Requirements
- Formal engineering team management experience, having directly led a team of at least 5 engineers (covering Backend, Web, iOS and Android)
- Hands-on experience with high-traffic, high-concurrency, or large-scale production systems
- Still hands-on in making architecture decisions and conducting technical reviews
- Has actually used LLMs / coding agents to assist with software development
- System development experience in finance, FinTech, large-scale consumer products or other high-traffic services
