Why this opportunity

Support the business at the president's side

The core of this role is executive support, not just driving. You will handle scheduling, cross-department coordination and ad hoc requests, taking part directly in the executives' day-to-day rhythm.

Two rhythms: Tokyo and Hakuba

Weekdays are at the office in Kudankita, Tokyo; during the winter peak season, about 60% of the time is spent at the resort base in Hakuba, Nagano. Please think this through before applying: it is the everyday structure of the job, not an occasional business trip.

Chinese–Japanese bilingual skills are core

You'll be the link between the Japanese subsidiary and the Taiwan head office, keeping up with both the languages and the ways of working on each side—that's exactly where the value of this role lies.

We assess overall ability, not years of driving

We look at the overall picture: executive support skills, Chinese–Japanese communication, driving ability, and flexibility. No professional driver experience? Applicants with an assistant or administrative support background are still welcome.

Salary Ranges Shown Upfront

Annual salary JPY 4,000,000–7,000,000, set according to experience. No guesswork.

FAQ

Do I really need to stay in Hakuba for long stretches in winter?+

Yes. Your contractual workplace is the office in Kudankita, Chiyoda, Tokyo, but during the winter peak season about 60% of your working time is expected to be spent on business trips to, or stationed at, the base in Hakuba, Nagano. This is the single most important thing to confirm you can accommodate before applying.

Is this mainly a driver role or an executive assistant role?+

It is mainly an executive assistant role that also includes driving. The core work is executive support—scheduling, coordinating communication between Taiwan and Japan, and ad hoc requests. Driving the president, executives and guests in the company car is part of the job, but not the only focus.

Can I apply without professional driving experience?+

Yes. We look at the overall combination of executive support skills, Chinese–Japanese communication, driving ability, and flexibility, rather than judging only by years as a professional driver. If you have an executive assistant or administrative support background, hold a standard (futsu) driver's license, and have real on-road driving experience, you're welcome to apply even if you've never worked as a full-time driver.

With an annual salary of JPY 4,000,000–7,000,000, how much will I actually get?+

The page shows the total annual salary range, which is set based on experience. Your consultant will explain how the salary is structured in full during the first phone conversation.

Do I have to drive myself?+

Yes. The job includes driving the president, executives and guests in the company car, so you need a standard driver's license and real on-road driving experience, and must be able to drive safely on your own. In winter, Hakuba means snowy and mountain roads.

How good does my Japanese need to be? Will I use Chinese too?+

You'll need Japanese good enough to communicate in real time in meetings and when receiving visitors, and to handle business correspondence. Chinese is also a working language, because this role handles communication between the Japanese subsidiary and the Taiwan head office.

What is the application process?+

After you apply, you will first have an initial interview with A-Cai, our AI interview assistant (this stage is conducted by AI), and then a consultant will confirm your requirements and interest. The hiring company's process consists of a document review and HR interview, an interview with members of the Japanese entity, and finally an interview with the person in charge (conducted in Chinese).

Will the working hours be very irregular?+

The standard schedule is 10:00–19:00 with 8 actual working hours a day, two full days off every week, and an average of 21 working days a month. Start and end times shift, however, to match senior management's schedule.
