Temporary staffingMonthly 40K–45KNeihu, TaipeiMon–Fri, 2 days off weeklySoftware testing QA

Senior Test Product Specialist (Games · Neihu, Taipei)Temporary staffing · Full-time | 40–45K per month | Mon–Fri · two days off a week | Functional testing / Bug tracking / Test report writing

The title says "senior," but this time the hiring team hasn't set a minimum years of experience. If you've done functional testing, tracked bugs through to closure, and written your own test plans and test reports, it's worth applying. The role is at a listed group's office in Neihu, Taipei, and covers quality gatekeeping before and after game product launches: writing and maintaining test cases, running user, functional and stress tests on schedule, logging reproduction steps when you find an issue and following it until it's fixed, then compiling the results into test reports for the product and development teams. It's more than just clicking around — you write the test plans and reports yourself, and you take the initiative to clarify cross-team issues. Fixed schedule, Monday to Friday; 1 opening. During the staffing assignment you sign a formal employment contract with Step1ne (德仁管理顧問有限公司), and your day-to-day work takes place at the hiring company's Neihu office.

Job description

Test cases and test plans

  • Write game test cases from product specs and maintain existing cases as versions update
  • Plan test scope and schedules, and write test plans

Run tests

  • Run scheduled regular tests on features, including user testing, functional testing, and stress testing
  • Run regression tests after each version update to confirm existing features have not been broken

Issue tracking and reporting

  • Record reproduction steps and impact scope for issues, classify their severity, and enter them into the bug tracking process
  • Track issue fixes through to closure and complete verification
  • Compile test results, write test reports, and submit them to the product and development teams

Cross-department coordination

  • Help the product and development teams pin down root causes and gaps in how specs are interpreted
  • Coordinate testing schedules and fix priorities with other departments (including product and development leads)

Requirements

Required
  • Hands-on functional testing experience
  • Familiar with bug tracking: able to fully document, prioritize, and follow issues through to closure
  • Software integration testing experience
  • Able to write test plans and test reports independently
  • Able to communicate with product, development, and other roles, explain problems clearly, and drive them to resolution
  • Able to work Monday to Friday at the Neihu, Taipei office
Preferred qualifications
  • Product testing experience at the source code level (able to read code to help pinpoint root causes)
  • You play Japanese games regularly and know how these products work and how users behave
  • Experience with test case management or bug tracking systems

Why this opportunity

The testing process is thorough — not just clicking around

You write your own test cases, plan your own test schedule and deliver your own test reports. After one cycle, what you walk away with is test documentation and process experience you can actually talk about, not just "I tested a lot of versions."

Work directly with the product and development departments

Issues don't just disappear into a form—you'll walk product and engineering leads through root causes and spec interpretations, and negotiate priorities. If you want to move toward test lead or QA process design, this experience is essential.

Salary ranges stated upfront

NT$40,000–45,000/month, based on experience. You don't have to apply and finish interviews just to find out whether there's room to negotiate.

Two fixed days off a week

Monday to Friday, with no shift scheduling or rotation, so you can set your own rhythm of life.

FAQ

Do staffing workers get the same rights as permanent employees?+

During the assignment you sign a formal employment contract with Step1ne (德仁管理顧問有限公司). Your wages, labor and health insurance, pension contributions, annual leave, overtime pay and occupational injury compensation are all handled under the Labor Standards Act and related regulations, exactly the same as any other employee; severance and retirement are also governed by the Labor Standards Act. Your daily work takes place at the hiring unit's office with tasks assigned by an on-site supervisor, but the employer's responsibilities lie with Step1ne.

The salary is NT$40–45K a month — how much will I actually get?+

The public page shows the total range: monthly salary NT$40,000 – 45,000, based on experience. The consultant will explain exactly how the pay is structured during the first phone call, and you can ask every question you have then.

The title says "Senior". How many years of experience do I need to apply?+

The hiring unit did not give a minimum number of years this time, so we won't put an unconfirmed number on this page. What matters is what you have actually done: functional testing, tracking Bugs through to closure, software integration testing, and whether you can write test plans and test reports yourself. If you have done all four, it is worth applying; your consultant will confirm the experience requirement with the hiring unit on your behalf.

Do I have to know how to code?+

No. The requirement is hands-on experience such as functional testing, integration testing and issue tracking. "Source Code-level product testing experience" is a plus; if you have it, explain in your application what problems you have found working at the code level.

Can I apply if I don't play Japanese games?+

Yes. "Enjoys Japanese games" is a plus, not a requirement. That said, this role involves testing game products every day, and people with a feel for games usually find it easier to spot where players get stuck—so if that's you, mention it when you apply.

What is the interview process? Will I be interviewed by AI?+

Yes. The first interview is conducted by AI through text or voice chat to check whether your experience matches this role's requirements; if you pass, a consultant arranges an interview with the hiring company. You choose the time for the AI interview yourself, so there's no need to take time off.

What are the working hours? Will I need to work overtime for version updates?+

So far the client has only confirmed Monday–Friday with two days off a week. They haven't given us the exact working hours, or said whether you'd need to adjust hours around version updates or launches—so we won't put unconfirmed details on this page. Your consultant will check before the first conversation and let you know.

How long will this staffing assignment last? Is there a chance to become a permanent employee?+

The hiring company has not yet committed to a contract length or conversion to a permanent role, so we do not state it on this page. If it matters to you, we will ask them directly on your behalf during the interview and pass on their reply word for word.
