Recruitment ConsultantNo industry experience required · Taipei · Base NT$38K–60K + uncapped commission

We're looking for people to do headhunting with us. The job is the full cycle — taking client requirements, breaking down the talent profile, proactively finding and talking to candidates, all the way to closing the placement and the follow-up care afterward. It's not just searching, and not just business development. No related experience required: we have ready-made search strategies and scripts, and newcomers are mentored. The barrier to entry is low, but your income isn't capped by a base salary: once you get going, bonuses become the bulk of your earnings, and what you learn is a complete skill set you can take anywhere — not being one cog in a division of labor.

Job description

  • Take on client hiring needs and turn vague expectations into an actionable candidate profile
  • Proactively find and reach out to candidates, including first contact by phone and message

Advancing and closing

  • Scheduling interviews, preparing recommendation materials, and confirming details back and forth with clients
  • Negotiate salary and offers, and bridge gaps in expectations on both sides
  • Onboarding follow-up and care through the guarantee period after placement

Requirements

These are the real hurdles of this job, and also the reason its ceiling is so high:

Required
  • No related experience required—backgrounds in sales, service, HR, or customer support are all welcome
  • Willing to pick up the phone and reach out to people you don't know
  • Comfortable with a long sales cycle (usually 2–3 months)
  • Fluent Chinese and clear written communication
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in headhunting, recruitment agencies or RPO
  • English for workplace communication
  • Networks or knowledge in a specific industry

Why this opportunity

Low barrier to entry, high ceiling

Headhunting is one of the few careers you can enter without a related background, and those who succeed are not capped by a fixed salary.

The hard part isn't the bar, it's the pace

The real hurdle is whether you are willing to reach out to people you don't know, and whether you can stay steady through those first months before you close a deal.

The full cycle—not just one cog in the machine

From taking in requirements and finding people to negotiating and closing, you handle it all yourself — and what you learn is a complete skill set you can take anywhere.

FAQ

Can I apply with no headhunting experience at all?+

Yes—this role doesn't require related experience in the first place. We have ready-made search strategies and scripts, and new hires get mentoring early on. What you really need is a willingness to reach out to strangers and comfort with a relatively long sales cycle.

How are bonuses calculated?+

Closed deals are paid on commission: the more you close, the higher your bonus, with no cap. The rate is adjusted by tenure and deal type. Because every deal and every person moves at a different pace, we explain the actual numbers for your situation in the interview rather than giving a range up front that may not be accurate.

How long until my first closed deal?+

A headhunting placement cycle usually takes 2–3 months, and a newcomer's first placement usually takes longer. This is the one thing to think through before taking this job: for the first few months, you will likely keep working without results yet.

Will I have to make cold calls all the time?+

Yes, and it is one of the core parts of the job. You do not need to be naturally unafraid of rejection, but you do need to be willing to make the call even when you are nervous.

Where is the job, and what is the work arrangement?+

Taipei City, with client visits. On-site vs. remote arrangements will be explained at the interview.
